Other Dental Services We Provide

Dr. Casey, is a family and cosmetic dentist in Liberty Lake, providing high quality dental care for a lifetime of healthy teeth! We provide a wide array of dental treatments so you always get the care you need and deserve. In addition to cleanings, checkups, extractions, dentures, teeth whitening and implants, we also offer the following dental services listed below.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a cap that fits over the entire surface of a tooth to add strength and protect it from damage. We use dental crowns to cover teeth that are cracked, discolored, or generally damaged. Other indications for crowns are large failing silver or resin fillings that leave little natural tooth to support chewing forces. Crowns can also be used to add strength to teeth that are weakened due to decay or root canal therapy. For all of our cosmetic and restorative dentistry procedures, we often use all-porcelain crowns because they look natural(“click here to see photos of actual patients” , contain no dark metal and blend in with surrounding teeth. All porcelain crowns allow light to shine through the tooth into the root so the surrounding gum tissue does not look purple or dark. Dental crowns can be placed in two visits. The tooth to receive the crown is prepared during the first visit by removing enough structure to make room for the restoration. An impression of the area is made and sent to a dental laboratory so that the crown can be custom crafted. Once the crown is ready, it is bonded to the tooth during a second appointment.

Metal-free Dentistry

While some patients choose to restore their teeth with gold crowns, onlays, and inlays we are proud to offer metal-free dentistry as an option at Casey Family Dental. Different types of all porcelain restorations include crowns, onlays, and fillings. Our patients appreciate metal-free restorations because they look natural and blend into surrounding teeth. In most cases, it is difficult to tell that a tooth has been restored with a metal-free restoration. The tooth-colored materials that we use for restorative and cosmetic dentistry at our practice in Liberty Lake, WA are durable and long-lasting.

Full Mouth Restoration

Sometimes multiple dental issues require more than the replacement of old metal fillings or the placement of dental implants. In such cases, we can combine multiple restorative dentistry options into a full mouth restoration. “click here to see before and after photos of our patients” Similar to a smile makeover, the full mouth restoration may combine several options to restore function as well as beauty. The full mouth restoration is best suited to patients who have issues that go beyond aesthetic aspects, such as difficulty when chewing or speaking, or pain when biting down. It is also a good choice for patients who have dental issues that affect most or all of their teeth. Full-Mouth Reconstruction Having a dazzling, healthy smile can make a positive difference in anyone’s life – it can restore not only a strong bite and more youthful appearance, but also the confidence and self-assuredness that come with them. Using a full range of restorative dentistry procedures – from tooth replacement to endodontics – we can custom design a smile to complement your facial features and restore your gums, teeth, and jaw to a strong, healthy state. No matter what your dental needs, we have a restorative solution that will work for you. Please contact our office today to schedule a consultation.

Restoring Worn and Eroded Teeth and Eating Disorders

Isolated teeth or all of the teeth can lose the enamel and dentin resulting in eventual root canal infection, pain, or tooth loss. Such damage can occur from clenching and grinding, tooth brush and tooth paste overuse, prolonged exposure to fruit acids on the teeth, acid reflux from the stomach, and the effects of bulimia. Repair of these issues can range from simple to complex. It is important to manage the cause of the wear prior to any reparative restorations. We are prepared to help you understand the psychological and stress-related aspects and make appropriate referrals. Eating disorders are becoming a larger part of our patient community as bulimia is an issue that is on the rise in our society. We are prepared to help our patients with complete respect and deep understanding as well as repair any damage to the teeth. As with any heath care in our office, all conversations will be kept completely confidential. Cosmetic Dentistry There’s no reason to hide behind less-than-perfect teeth. Dr. Casey takes a particular interest in TMJ symptom allieviation offers a variety of nonsurgical treatment options. Root Canals

Each of our teeth contains a long, thin strand of dental pulp—which provides the tooth with nutrients and nerves—that extends down to the tooth’s root. If the pulp becomes infected or injured, the tooth’s nerves die and, often, without endodontic treatment, the tooth dies as well. Root canals are designed to save such damaged teeth. During the procedure (performed under anesthesia), a gap is drilled into the tooth’s crown and pulp chamber, diseased pulp is removed, and the tooth is permanently sealed with a gold, porcelain, or tooth-colored crown. Dr. Casey has extensive endodontic experience and does exceptional root canals in office, in most cases without referrals. To learn more about root canals, please contact us today.

Periodontics – Gum Therapy

Unfortunately, periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just an unsightly smile—it can cause bad breath, loss of teeth and, eventually, if left untreated, serious health problems. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth’s soft tissues. Early warning signs of the disease include red, swollen, bleeding gums. Using a variety of nonsurgical and surgical techniques, we can help you reverse the damage caused by periodontal disease and restore your mouth to a healthy, beautiful state. For more information, please contact our office today.
